Do you want to make a difference for children and young people?
Do you want to work at a fantastic unit for children and young people that makes a difference?
As a Social Secretary (Social Worker) with us, you investigate and follow up on measures according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Law on Care of Young Persons (LVU) for children and young people aged 0–21. You work in close collaboration with our resource unit, Family Resources, which provides outpatient interventions, and together we find solutions to create security and stability for the children and families we meet.
We have a clear structure and use BBIC (Barns Behov i Centrum / Children's Needs in Focus) as the foundation of our work. Currently, we are focusing on implementing Signs of Safety and placing great emphasis on involving children and young people in our contact with them. We offer education and supervision to strengthen you in your work and ensure that we work together towards the same goals.
To give you the best possible conditions from the start, we have introductory social secretaries who support new employees in their daily work. You will also receive regular supervision and opportunities for competence development.
On the unit, we also have senior case handlers with long experience in the field who can offer guidance and support to you as a colleague.
What we offer:
You will join a workplace with structure and good access to close managerial support, and our first-line social secretaries have long and extensive experience in child welfare work.
We are a workplace with a good atmosphere and a helpful climate. Here, we take responsibility for each other and collaborate to provide the best possible support to children and young people. Even though the work is demanding, we ensure a work environment where you receive support, structure, and opportunities for development.
We work according to the FAS model, which means that new cases are received collectively every sixth week. The model provides continuous time for ongoing investigations and creates structure, overview, and better conditions for legally secure and sustainable work.
Every sixth week, you have the opportunity to use working time for one day for environmental scanning, reflection, or other activities that promote health and work.
Our work is characterized by quality, legal security, and engagement – and we always strive to do the best for those we serve.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have a degree in Social Work. You have at least 2 years of experience in public authority work within social services, preferably in the area of children and young people.
You have a clear child's perspective in your work and always base your actions on children's rights.
You have knowledge of the legislation regarding SoL and LVU, and we would appreciate it if you have worked with BBIC. We also see that you have a good ability to investigate, document, and follow up on measures.
A B-class driver's license is meritorious for the position.
As a person, you are good at collaborating and thrive in a team, while also having the ability to work independently, drive processes, and make your own decisions. You are confident in yourself and in your role as a social secretary. Your communicative skills enable you to meet people with respect and handle difficult conversations in a professional manner. You have a solution-oriented and positive approach, and you value collaboration to create the best support for each individual.
To succeed in the role, you need to be able to structure and prioritize your work well. You balance client meetings, documentation, and collaboration in a way that contributes to quality in the operations.
Have we sparked your interest? Great! You are warmly welcome to apply!
